Laura wins the last bracket 8-0. Giving her an equal score to what Maggie had, as a result, she progresses to Round 2 and will face Gina.

Next up, Lucy Simpson the Dark Knight vs. Allison Taylor the Saxophonist?

In game, Allison would have many of the "Bardsong" type abilities that Edward has in Final Fantasy IV. Look them up if you need to. :P Lucy'd have Cecil's Darkness ability. (later renamed Souleater)

I'm going to vote in this one.

Lucy, and not because she's my character. Rather, she's been training her whole life. She'd slice Allison to pieces in a matter of seconds with the Onion Sword.

She'd have to get close enough to Allison first! :D

Never played FF!V, so I don't know what the "Bardsong" is, but I pictured Allison as having Lisa's sax sonic-blast power from the Simpsons Game here. A few well-timed blasts should keep Lucy a safe distance away, and a few more should finish her off. Long-range attack are always better than close-contact. ;)

But that's just how I saw this match going down. :)

This is Final Fantasy, not The Simpsons Game. So none of those powers apply, besides, if anyone was going to get those powers, it'd be Lisa. Not to mention that Lucy's smart enough to dodge the blasts and get behind Allison to strike in seconds. The only real thing Allison can do with her sax is bonk enemies on the head.

Bardsong is a small collection of abilities that mostly just debuff the enemy casting silence on them to prevent them using Magic. Not really useful in an action type game.

Darkness/Soul Eater is a long range attack btw, it sends a wave of dark energy at the opponent.
