A Non SimpFant based pic this time.

Instead, a simple grabpic of Lisa supporting the recent protests in the UK over the rise in Tuition fees for university students like myself, the government plans on nearly tripling the fee from £3,290 to £9,000 due to government cuts.

I heartily endorse the protests.

Massive protests are occurring all over the UK.

Spelling condemn as "condem" is appropriate for this situation.

Best to all in the UK who are affected by this giant surge in tuition fees.

Speaking as an old fart (these days, Jesus I'm 23...) who didn't go to University but got on with working instead, whilst I feel for you, I have a hard time supporting you when things go ugly. When protests turn to riots, and the leaders refuse to help the Police or think its great, well...
Sadly, these are the economic times we live in. We're all feeling the pressure. But, its better they go up now then later and even worse, unless a serious alternative can be found.

I also completely agree with the protests. The scale of the price rises is just insane, sure it doesn't concern me too much since I have an awards scheme here in Scotland that pays my fees for me, BUT its not fair on other students who dont have this service for them and have enough problems with fees/daily expenses as well as study as it is.

I was offered to go down to London to take part in the protests with my Universitys students association which I was tempted to do, but decided not too since I had a feeling it would turn to violence (and it did!)

Yeah. Most of them are turning violent. I'm tempted to go to one of them, but again the violence.

I get lucky because even though they start from September 2010, I won't be effected for the next two years when I graduate.
